Carbon Dioxide Carbon dioxide extinguishers are suitable for fires involving flammable liquids and electrical hazards. The non-corrosive and non-conductive qualities of CO2 make it an ideal choice for dealing with fires involving electrical equipment and machinery. Manufactured only in a stored pressure version, carbon dioxide extinguishers are available in two models: 5 and 2 kilogram. The carbon dioxide used is a recovered industrial bi-product, thereby reducing the carbon dioxide levels contributing to the Greenhouse effect.
